High-Level Content Strategy

  • Content audits: Looking at a specific content channel (web, social, email, podcasts) or your content ecosystem as a whole for gaps and opportunities. Takes into account current performance, past performance, and future needs.
  • Content strategy creation: Posting but don’t have a content strategy? I can help! This service can include building out content pillars, determining content goals, where to post, how often to post, content calendars, editorial planning, and whatever else you need to post regularly with a purpose.
  • Content calendars: When and where should you post and how often? Let’s figure it out! Includes building out calendars that dictate what to post on what channel at what time and how it all fits into your larger content plan.
  • Goals and KPIs: How is your content performing? How do you want it to perform? Which data points should you be considering anyway? Let’s build a plan with measurable touch points.

Websites and Web Content

  • Blogs and articles: What should you be writing about and how often should you post? How long should your articles be? Who should write them? I can help strategize and plan web content and help write it.
  • SEO and optimization: The world of SEO is changing, but you should be making sure you content can be found but your target audience. I can provide keyword research, SEO recommendations, and help optimize your current content.
  • Overall website content: Your blogs should be on point, but so should the other pages of your website. Make sure you’re speaking the language of your audience in a way that makes sense (and shows up in search too). Let’s see what we can do to improve your website content as a whole!
  • Reporting and improving: Making changes is helpful, but it’s also important to measure what you’re doing and see if works. I can look to different reporting tools and advise on current performance, set goals, analyze what’s working and what’s not, and update the strategy as we go.

Writing and Editorial

  • Editorial calendars: Need help determining what you’ll be posting in the next month or quarter? I can help build out editorial calendars and brainstorm with the team to determine what’s most feasible to write first and any long-term planning for more ambitious content.
  • Long-form content writing: Sometimes you just need knowledgeable people to write the stuff! I can write SEO-optimized articles for websites that fit digital best practices. Or, I can write slightly shorter articles for websites that need a creative flair that AI can’t quite recreate. Have a podcast? I can help with scripts, too!
  • Interviewing subject matter experts: The experts know the information you need to put into your content. But they don’t have the time to write (or are kind of terrified to do it). I have experience talking to SMEs about their topic areas and turning those conversations into written pieces that they can review and approve.
  • Editing and revising: Everyone needs a good editorial eye to make their work better. With multiple years working with students and junior copywriters, I can help make edits, suggestions, and teach writers to improve their work and reach an excellent final draft.
  • Research: Someone needs to spend the time diving into the research, and this area is a particular favorite of mine. I will happily read the academic articles or listen to the podcasts, or bring the information together and pull out the salient details and proof points you should use.

Social Media

  • Content calendars: Posting to social media can feel chaotic, especially if you have multiple platforms to manage. Let’s build out a calendar that lays out when and what to post on a regular basis to remove some of the stress.
  • Channel strategy: What’s the best posting approach for Instagram? Should you be on TikTok or YouTube? What’s the deal with BlueSky? I can help determine recommendations for which channels to be on and how you should show up there.
  • Caption writing: Your needs are simple. You just need someone to help write some posts and get them cooking. No problem.
  • Reporting and improving: Each social platform has its own way of analyzing performance. Let’s consider content goals and whether what you’re posting to social is doing the job it needs to do!
